| 35 YEAR ACTIVE RECOGNITION SERVICE AWARD |
| Members of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association who have been registered as Active members of the association for 35 years shall be recognized by the Association with the presentation of a "35 Year Active Recognition Service Award." This will be a certificate to be awarded at the Annual Member Recognition Banquet. The 35 years need not be consecutive. Upon retirement from Active membership, the retired membership fees shall be waived for individuals so recognized. |

| Honourary Life membership may be granted to members of the Association or other persons who have made outstanding contributions in the field of veterinary science. Petitions for honourary life membership shall be signed by five members of the Association and submitted to Council. Council grants membership upon unanimous approval of such a petition. |
