The CVMA has partnered with the Alberta Association of Animal Health Technologists (AAAHT) and the Canadian Association of Animal Health Technologists and Technicians (CAAHTT) and the whole veterinary team is invited to join the CVMA Convention to attend all scientific sessions and some wet labs that will be open to veterinarians as well as technologists.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS!
If you are planning to attend this joint convention, we are seeking students and technologists who are interested in volunteering for the different aspects of this event (i.e, registration, information desks, hall monitors, etc). Your parking fees will be paid and your meals will be provided. If you volunteer for a ½ day, you can attend a ½ day CE session (on the same day) at no charge!
Review the CE program and assess your availability regarding date(s)/time(s)that you are willing to volunteer. Please contact Dr. Jayne Takahashi takahashij@associatevets.com with your interest and/or your questions. Come join a fun team of volunteers – your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Subject: Improve the practical skills of your clinic team!
The CVMA is now able to offer the CVMA Convention wet labs (except the Femoral Head Ostectomy) at a reduced fee of $125.00. This reduced fee applies to all registrants -veterinarians and AHT’s. Each wet lab is designed to provide practical demonstrations and/or direct ‘hands-on’ experience on a common skill requirement. Excellent educational opportunities are offered in both large animal and companion animal tracks.

The AAAHT is proud to be partnering with the CVMA in a joint 2010 Convention in Calgary, Alberta. The AAAHT will be holding its Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony Banquet on the evening of Thursday July 8th from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel in the Crystal Ballroom
Hotel guestrooms are booking up very quickly for July 7th to the 10th; therefore, we encourage you to reserve your accommodations as soon as possible to avoid any disappointments.
The AAAHT has negotiated special room rates open only to technologists at the International Suites Hotel. The rate is $179 single occupancy and $199 double occupancy.
